The IPSYS01 System Power module is a rack-mounted circuit board that provides the essential operating voltages for your system. It supplies 5 VDC, 15 VDC, and –15 VDC to rack I/O devices, and 24 VDC power to the cabinet for field I/O. The module is flexible with input power—it can handle 120 VAC, 240 VAC, or 125 VDC.
For AC inputs, the module includes active power factor correction, achieving a power factor greater than 0.95. It also has current sharing circuitry, which ensures that multiple system power modules can equally share the output current without overloading one module.
The IPSYS01 watches over its own performance by keeping an eye on the DC-to-DC converters and the power factor corrector.
